Created for people at any level of visual impairment, this mini-course will fulfill your first rock climbing dream. It is divided into three parts. In the first part, some concepts and equipment are presented to the student. In the second part, there is an indoor climbing training, with all variables controlled, so that the student gains confidence, experience in the use of his equipment, and creates body memory and posture. Finally, in the third part, a real rock climbing is performed! Each student has an instructor specially trained to deal with people who have this type of disability, and this instructor is totally dedicated to the student.
Why should I take it?
We believe that mountain sports are a kind of therapy that helps you overcoming fears and limits, improves your self-confidence, breaks several blocks, and is an added motivation so you can feel that life is much more than a home-work routine. We conducted an extensive research on the main works developed in this area. We talked to several people with special needs to understand what their needs and main difficulties were. After surveying very extensive data, we created our own training method and improved climbing and safety techniques.
